Pressure Switch Applications
These pressure switches are built for pressure monitoring and control in industrial equipment and systems, including installations where flammable gases or vapors may be present. With stainless steel housings and ATEX and IECEx certification, they are suited to a range of industrial and hazardous-area applications.
1. Oil & Gas
Used for pressure monitoring in pipelines, refineries, gas processing equipment, compressors, pumps, and storage systems. The ATEX-certified design makes the switches suitable for use in Zone 2 areas where flammable gases may be present.
2. Natural Gas
Used in natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, pressure-regulating equipment, and gas distribution systems. The switches provide reliable pressure switching in areas where combustible gases can create a hazardous atmosphere.
3. Hydrogen
Suitable for pressure monitoring in hydrogen production, storage, compression, and fueling systems. The EPDM seal option can be used with hydrogen, making the switch suitable for a variety of hydrogen pressure applications.
4. Chemical & Petrochemical
Used on pumps, compressors, process equipment, reactors, and storage systems where pressure monitoring or switching is required. The stainless steel housing and hazardous-area certification make the switches suitable for demanding process environments.
5. Hydraulic Systems
Used in hydraulic power units, presses, machine tools, industrial machinery, and other high-pressure systems. The 0387-N piston pressure switch is rated for pressures up to 700 bar, making it suitable for high-pressure hydraulic applications.
6. Compressors & Pumps
Used to monitor operating pressure on industrial compressors and pumps. The switch can be used for equipment control, alarms, or shutdown functions where a mechanical pressure switch is required.
7. Fuel & Fuel-Gas Systems
Used for pressure monitoring in fuel supply, storage, transfer, and pressure-regulation systems. Applications include equipment handling gasoline, natural gas, and other combustible fluids or gases.
8. Offshore & Marine
Used on offshore platforms, FPSOs, marine fuel systems, hydraulic equipment, compressors, and pumps. The stainless steel construction and hazardous-area certification make the switches suitable for equipment installed in classified areas.
